About MyMashwara

Our Mission
A Shura for the Ummah Our story didn’t begin in a boardroom; it began at our dining tables. As Muslim medics, we have all experienced that phone call from "back home"—a relative or a friend reaching out, confused and overwhelmed by a diagnosis they don't fully understand. In many developing countries, healthcare is a fragmented landscape of isolated specialties where the patient often feels like a number rather than a person. We saw our brothers and sisters struggling to navigate these splintered systems, unsure of their next steps or even the right questions to ask. MyMashwara was born from the realization that while we couldn't be there in person, we could provide the clarity and counsel they were searching for.
We aren't here to replace local healthcare providers; we are here to empower the patient to work with them. Our purpose is to provide a neutral, objective second opinion that bridges the gap between a complex diagnosis and an informed conversation. By educating our community on their conditions and the general management involved, we give them the tools to advocate for their own health. We operate on the principle of Ihsan, driven by the Prophetic teaching that one's faith is not complete until we love for our brother what we love for ourselves. In their time of need, every person deserves a sounding board that views their well-being with the same care they would give their own family.
Our inspiration draws from the Justice Tower of the Topkapi Palace—a symbol that anyone, regardless of status, should have a place to reach out for help. We strive to be that beacon for the global community, offering a sympathetic ear and expert guidance to ease the suffering that comes with uncertainty. But this is only the beginning. Our ultimate vision is to build a unified platform of Muslim doctors and patients—a collective that harnesses the immense skills and resources within our Ummah to enhance how healthcare is delivered globally. We aren't just offering consultations; we are building a legacy of unified care, one mashwara at a time.
